DAN LE SAC – SPACE BETWEEN THE WORDS (ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS)

Dan Le Sac‘s debut album Space Between The Words got its release yesterday, I was fortunate enough to have a speedy postman so I got mine on the Saturday. Since then I’ve pretty much had the album on repeat. Below you’ll find a pick of our three faovurite songs from the album, so if you’re on the fence about buying the album head past the break to check them out.

Dan le sac – Break Of Dawn ft. HowAboutBeth

Let’s start things off with my favourite track from the album: Break Of Dawn. This one’s my favourite partly because we get some vocals from dan le sac (if I’m not mistaken) but mostly because as a package it all works so well. le sac crafted an excellent beat to perfectly compliment HowAboutBeth’s vocals.

Dan le sac- Long Night Of Life Ft. Merz

Long Night Of Life is another song that contested heavily for my favourite track on the album, I’m constantly amazed at the diversity of the le sac’s diverse production range. He shows off in this track with three distinct parts which blend seamlessly together, slowly rising for the finish. Of course massive credit goes to Merz for his work on this one.

Dan le sac – Zephyr ft. Merz

After Long Night Of Life I was really looking forward to hearing the second song to feature Merz. Unfortunately it wasn’t a remix of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers song but I wonder if that would even work. It’s another sombre song on the album, a side to le sac we rarely get to see. It’s a testament to his talent that he can create songs so well on both sides of the spectrum.

Overall Space Between The Words is a brilliant piece of work with the features and the production matched up perfectly. The way he can create totally different tracks for different artists is top-notch, if the music doesn’t work out he could probably get a job guessing people’s weight; he’s that good at reading people.

My only criticism comes not from a technical view point but from the view of a fan; there’s very little singing from le sac and he’s proven just how good he is that.

You can (and should) buy Space Between The Words here or via iTunes.
